Informal Biography of Bill Tsantis Areas of Specialization: Bill teaches Guitar and Bass, and on guitar he specializes in Contemporary Rock, Blues and Traditional Jazz. Education: Bill holds a Masters Degree In Education and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Queens College where he majored in Composition and Music Theory. He also studied with Tony Mann. Bill also extensively studied guitar, theory, improvisation, keyboard harmony, counterpoint, and contemporary harmony & composition privately with Richard Rabatin for four years. Teaching Experience: Bill has taught guitar and bass privately and at several North Shore studios for a decade. Richard Rabatin is proud to have his former student Bill teaching at Stony Brook School of Music for the past seven years. Performance & Recording Credits: Bill performed Off-Broadway in the original musical "Summer of ’69: Return to Woodstock" and he also performs locally with various Blues and Rock groups. Bill has also recorded extensively for drummer/composer Louis Katsaros’ various projects and he is the guitarist on Steve Subject’s independent CD, "All Life’s Changes" (available directly from Steve at Sound Beach Music, 631-476-3850). |
